Vertebral Subluxation Complex
What Causes VSC or Subluxation?
Subluxations can arise from many sources. Trauma, auto accidents, slips and falls, and poor posture rank among the top causes. Chemicals such as pesticides, contaminated food, poor water quality and the use of toxic chemicals in the home or workplace can also set the stage for subluxation. Even mental and emotional stresses can play a role in subluxation development.
A person's first subluxation may be caused by the birthing process itself, especially if the birth process was traumtic and/or prolonged. Any event that causes trauma to the body (physically, chemically, or emotionally) can cause a subluxation.
