Types of facial discomfort or pain described by patients when consulting our office were:
Ache, Burn, Tightness, Tingling, and/or Numbness. Eight people with these kinds of facial discomfort completed the initial 6-8 weeks of care in our office between February 2002 and August 2004. Of these 8 patients, 5 reported a 70-100% decrease in discomfort, and only one reported no change in their complaint within 8 weeks of their first upper cervical adjustment (one had a 40-70% decrease and one had a 10-40% decrease).
